The Episcopal Church of the Mediator

Dinner Groups

Each year we begin another session of Dinner Groups with a potluck meal at the church and then select the groups that will gather throughout the fall, winter and spring (usually taking a break in the summer) at the homes of individuals in the group.  These are strictly social to get to know each other better.  Each group plans their own schedule, meets when it best suits their schedule and arranges the meal in whatever way they choose, whether the host preparing the whole meal or the participants each contributing a portion of the meal.  There is only one rule - adults only.  However, we are open to setting up a family group if there are people interested in doing a dinner group family style with children as well.  Keep your eyes here for the next potluck start in September.

We began our Dinner Groups for 2008/2009 with an Iron Chef Cook-off
at the church in the dining room.
All participated in the cooking of the surprise meal;
spaghetti and meat balls, salad and dessert.

I wonder what we'll do for the next potluck in September 2010!

How many Episcopalians does it take to make spaghetti and meatballs?

Obviously only one to make up the salad.  What's that in the cup?  Salad dressing????

If you are not in this picture, you missed a great time.
Maybe you'll be here next year.
