endowment growth program
First Fruits and Last Gifts
By way of an update on the new Mediator Endowment Growth Program, I am pleased to report that some 30% of the active members of our parish have now attended our small living room discussions about how we can help the church as we make our final "end-of-life" plans and that over 20% of us have thus far made specific provisions in our estate plans for Mediator.
Moving forward, we will have two Adult Forums in October designed to provide practical information and answer questions you may have about how to provide for those you deeply care about after you are gone. Please read a full description of these Adult Forum opportunities here. Meanwhile, just two things you should know about the upcoming forums: (1) we plan to have some tasty treats to go with the coffee; (2) we will NOT be asking anyone to make an estate gift to the church. The purpose of these sessions is to provide information about end-of-life planning and not to solicit gifts. If anyone is prompted to include Mediator in their estate plans we will be glad to meet with that person privately to provide whatever help we can.
We do hope you will be with us for these two sessions in October. Please let us know if you have questions or suggestions about how we may more effectively provide information to the parish.
The committee consists of Henry A., Timothy B., Marty C., Sydney D., Susan H., Nick W., and Phil S., Chair.
