The Episcopal Church of the Mediator

lay eucharistic ministers

Lay Eucharistic Ministers assist in leading worship by administering the chalice at the Eucharist.  This is an opportunity to grow in your own understanding of the meaning of Communion as you share the "Blood of Christ, the Cup of Salvation" with the congregation.  LEMs serve at both the 8:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. services each week.

A Lay Eucharistic Minister is licensed by the Bishop of the Diocese for a period of two years and then can be licensed again for two more years, after which he or she must step down for a year before being licensed again.

At the Mediator we schedule one LEM for the 8:00 a.m. service and two for the 10:15 a.m. service.  Interested persons should speak with Marlene Y. or the Rector.
