lay eucharistic visitors
Lay Eucharistic Visitors are commissioned and take Communion from the Sunday service to people who are unable to get to church due to ill health or disability. Usually a LEV is assigned to a specific person and visits him or her about once a month. It is a ministry that combines pastoral care with the sacrament of Communion. LEVs are licensed by the bishop and serve for three years with licenses being able to be renewed multiple times.
