prayer group
Did you know that the Intercessory Prayer Group was begun during Lent, 1972, and continues to meet every Tuesday at the Church? One of our major intentions was praying for our parish, its people and ministry, and for the wider church. We continue to be faithful to that intention today.
And did you know that individual members of our parish family and staff are remembered in prayer regularly? Each day of the month a number of our members are prayed for at the daily weekday services. We also pray for our clergy, leaders and the various ministries and activities that are part of our community life here. Many of you have requested prayers for friends and family and they are remembered at our daily services as well.
Did you know that you are welcomed to join us at these services or request special prayers? Services are weekdays at 9:00 a.m. in the chapel. Won't you join us in this important ministry?

Pastoral Caring Through Prayer
Out of this Prayer Group ministry at our parish has grown the Pastoral Caring Through Prayer booklet. This is the title of a little booklet we keep in the Chapel that is used every weekday and on Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. when someone is in the Chapel praying Morning Prayer, or during the Eucharist on Tuesdays. The book contains all the names of the members of Mediator and is divided up into the days of the month. Each person in the parish is prayed for by name one day each month at that service. You might like to know which day of the month you are remembered, so go into the Chapel when you get a chance and look into the little booklet and find out which day is yours. Than, if you want to have the person praying Morning Prayer on that day of the month offer prayers for something special, call the church office - or the person who is leading the Morning Prayer that day if you know who it is - and ask for special prayers for yourself, your family, your friends, or anyone you would like to have lifted in prayer that day and it will be done.
Your personal prayer requests are welcome anytime. You can email the church office (mail@episcopalmediator.org) or call 610-434-0155 and these names will be added to the daily prayers. The parish is also part of a prayer chain and for emergencies or immediate prayers you can contact Bernadette H. at her home or through the church office and your prayers will be sent across the Lehigh Valley on the prayer chain.
Prayer changes things!
