Acolytes and Crucifers
At Church of the Mediator, the Holy Eucharist is the center of our worship on Sunday mornings. A crucial part of that service is the participation of the team of a crucifer and the two acolytes. Not only do they have to be scheduled weekly, but also trained properly, and outfitted correctly.
Dedicated parishioners schedule, train and take care of the vestments for the Acolytes and Crucifers. Our Acolytes and Crucifers serve with dignity and grace and we are always proud of the work they do in serving the parish in this way. As an Acolyte grows and matures, they are eligible to becoming Crucifers if they wish. Youngsters who are interested in serving in this capacity should contact the church office or the rector to indicate their interest.
This is not a ministry that can be served only by children; we are always open to speaking with an adult (male or female) who is interested in serving in this capacity as well.
