Adopt-a-Family
Though our Adopt-A-Family Christmas program we served five families in which at least one member is afflicted with the HIV virus, our habitat family, and Claude. Fewer tags, reasonably priced gifts and combining with ECW’s hat and mitten tree were positive changes to our program.
Those of you who braved the snow and heard Tony Strobel from the Aids Activity office who spoke at our adult forum understand the many challenges these individuals face not only because of their illness but from the poverty they endure.
We would like to thank the congregation for their support in this program. Knowing someone cares enough to go through the effort of making their Christmas a little merrier is a gift in itself.
