Easter Baskets
Yes, the Episcopal Church Women are already planning for what has become one of our annual outreach efforts: an Easter basket for each child currently in residence at the Transitional Housing apartments of New Bethany Ministries in Bethlehem. We have been given a generous supply of small (5 1/2" base x 7" top x 4 1/2" high), brilliantly colored handmade baskets from South America, which we would like to fill with some of the following items:
- INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED Candies
- Toothbrushes/Toothpaste (small tubes, please)
- Card Games
- Rubber Balls
- Pens/Pencils/Rulers
- Crayons/Colored Pencils
- Handheld Pocket-size Games
- Miniature Books
- SMALL Activity Books/Tablets
We will be assembling these baskets on Wednesday, March 5th, 2008. Your contributions can be brought to church any time before then. There will be zipper-type bags in the pews for your convenience. Questions? Please call Carol Cottrell, ECW Convenor
