As your Organist and Choirmaster I want to take this opportunity to express my thanks and appreciation to the members of Mediator's Adult Choir, both the volunteers and section leaders, for their excellent singing during this past season. Their faithfulness and loyalty in attendance and the joyful attitude with which they approach every rehearsal and service is extraordinary. I know that I am biased but I cannot think of another organization within our parish of which more is asked in terms of both time and talent. Having said this, it is also true that the experience of singing the great music of the church and especially in a group such as ours is an experience to be cherished. Keep in mind we are always looking forward to welcoming new members into the choir.
During the summer months this year, June, July and August, the Choir takes its well-earned vacation. In the recent past, our section leaders and others have provided music during the Offertory. This year, for budgetary considerations, this practice will vary from week to week as some of our talented parishioners are available.
